What’s my number one criticism of new business blogs?
They’re boring.
A lot of new bloggers are scared stiff of offending anybody who might read the blog. So the new blogger writes a bunch of innocuous crap that comes straight out of corporate-speak. And since it has no opinion and no oomph to it and looks like all of the other stuff that’s out there, visitors might look once and never come back.
C’mon! You can do better than that.
Why do people hire you anyway? Or read your book? Or take your workshop? Because they like you and trust you. People listen to you because they think you know what you’re talking about.
So why wouldn’t you speak up on your blog? Be yourself; tell your readers what you really think. If you offend them, do you really want them as a client anyway?
